Library

The previous owners thought that neon pink was a great color for one of their kids' rooms. We don't have any kids, but we do have a lot of books, so we thought we would make it into a library.
The door is not quite done - one more coat on all sides, which may or may not get done in time for my sister to stay in the room Tuesday night. (yikes.)

Here's a chronological look at how the room changed since April, more or less:

When we first saw it:

With primer:

With paint:

Filled with lots of really unorganized stuff:

And here it is now:

One of those masks was made by Merimask, of Lucy, for my birthday. (Here's the blog entry about it.)

We still have a few more shelves to buy and some more organizing to do, but it is almost done!

It is looking great! The previous owners were kinda sloppy with the magenta pink, huh?

Love those masks--way cool!

It looks AMAZING!! I can't wait to stay there. I really like the green curtains and the desk by the window.
